Usually in those states of expanded consciousness
There is a different perception of time
Time has stopped or at least it's slowed down
Our subjective time is now overlapping objective space

So there was an enormous amount of time here
To study the entire situation
And then to bring it down
But when you bring it down

The Story
Someone shared Itzhak Bentov’s A Brief Tour of Higher Consciousness with me, and it blew me away. It’s captivating and totally out there, and I couldn’t put it down.
Then I wanted to know the man who wrote it. His history, his work, the people he knew. The more I found, the more I wanted to learn. That’s how I came across a lecture by his wife, Mirtala.
In it she talks through the ideas behind his work. One is that at infinite speed, motion becomes total rest, and you’re everywhere at once. Another is that time slows down in expanded states of mind, so a long stretch of study can come back to you in a flash, the aha moment.
I took her words and cut them up until they made a song.
She calls linear time “a very limited phenomenon in the scheme of things.” This song is my part in keeping their story and their work in the present. That’s the only place anyone can hear it.
