The story behind the song

Something is different lately. You are doing what you have always done, moving through the same days on the same rails, and then a small question shows up and will not leave. What if everything you were told left out the part that matters most.

You start to notice you can sit with that question instead of rushing to bury it. You respond now where you used to react. The things you were sure of begin to loosen, and the old story of who you are loses its grip.

There is a signal in the silence. Get quiet enough and you find a small steady voice that was speaking the whole time. It sounds wiser and stronger than anything you thought you were. You were not failing to hear it. You were only learning where to listen.
